Achieving the desired turf surfaces by thinking backwards (or why reactivity can beat proactivity)

I discuss the idea that being reactive to current turf conditions---working backwards from the conditions to the work that should be done---offers substantial advantages over a proactive and scheduled approach to turf management.
I discussed an approach to turfgrass management that involves considering the current turfgrass conditions and then deciding what to do.
