Using temperature-based growth potential (GP) to evaluate and compare season length
The temperature-based growth potential (GP) was developed by PACE Turf and has many uses. One of the things I often use it for is to evaluate season length, and to compare locations and their maintenance requirements in a standardized way.
I discussed using the temperature-based growth potential (GP) to make comparisons between locations. The chart with 33 locations around the world is in this post: https://www.asianturfgrass.com/post/gp-as-proxy-for-season-length/
